[ The feed opens up to show Flynn in a forested area. It seems to be mid-morning, judging from the light. As usual, a few seconds elapse before he begins speaking. ]

To anyone who sees this... I have a question. [ Pause. ] Some Pokemon evolutions are triggered using stones, yes? I'm looking for a Shiny Stone. Is there any way to obtain them? If you do have one on hand... I'm willing to trade for it, if you wish.

[ He looks away for a moment, and a Togetic flies in from the left, holding an intricate-looking ornament. ]

I've been making these in my spare time, and accumulated too many. Would anyone be interested in them?

[ Another pause. ]

I think that's all...? Yes. Thank you for your time.

[ The video ends here. ]

Flynn follows a meandering path down the routes, battling wild Pokemon and Trainers here and there. His Pokemon rotate as they wish, but Alilat never seems to leave his side.

Plus, he seems to be looking for something, checking piles of freshly-fallen leaves and other seemingly inconspicuous locations here and there. The Bronzor is quite excited by this prospect, trailing him like an eager sprite and darting around the places he stops to search. Once or twice he stops and picks up something from the ground, before placing it into a small bag in his hands

It is very obvious to any observer that he is probably collecting things. Though it isn't immediately apparent what this something is. If you're curious, maybe you should ask?

You'll want the grand shop in Goldenrod. The way you're going, it's a trip through the cave to Azalea and then north again through thick forest.

[ He cracks a faint smile. ]

Just doing my part. When we next meet I'd have you not be too road-weary. [Because they are going to meet again. No more of this tension over who's flouncing and who's dying; just friends wandering the country.] I'll be going in for Violet's badge soon, you've a ways to go to catch up to me!

Mm. [ Flynn nods thoughtfully. ] This 'badge challenge' does give us something to do. A test of strength, though. I'll have to train from scratch.

[ Not that he minds. He might even sound a little pleased. After all, he's willing to trade away almost everything to have the chance to see his friends again.

I'll be at your level before you know it. [ He chuckles a little. It's the most emotion he's shown all day. ]

I'd only be disappointed otherwise! [...And surprised. Flynn excelling at things is something Walter's taken for fact from the very beginning, and something he's never held any jealousy over.]

...You'll keep up contact, won't you? I'd like to know you're doing well - not that I don't have faith in you, but I'd be a poor friend not to be sure, you know? [....that was sappy HOW DOES HE FIX THIS] And if we're making a competition of the badges, we'll have to let each other know of our progress. [nailed it]

Of course.

[ He nods, and the faintest hint of a smirk crosses his features. But it vanishes as quickly as it appeared. ]

We should train together sometime.

We should. Once you've become a match for me - or once I've new Pokemon to train. There's all kinds of wild places in this land I've never been, to simply explore...

[Which is what he'd really always wanted, before everything back home went pear-shaped. Battle and glory and strange new sights. It's a freedom that Flynn's always deserved, too, by his mind.]

It is certainly a new adventure. [ And a nice afterlife, too. At least, for him. ] Though I find that training Pokemon is slower than training with demons. [ It's a little... hard to get used to. ]

And we cannot battle alongside them, only using them.

[ He might sound a little disappointed. ]

Perhaps I ought to start working on my physical skills again. [ Because, yknow, he's been throwing spells ever since he learned them. ]

Never any reason not to. Hell, spar with your Pokemon, it's fantastic sport if you can coax a lively one into fighting you. I'd lend you my Blaziken but she's a few steps past "lively". [And the cause of most of the bruises he ever has these days.]
